10 QUESTIONS
Béni Studio:  One thing you can’t live without?
Daryl:  I feel like this is a trick question LOL. In these times (necessities aside), I'll have a very difficult time living without the internet.
What’s one cause that’s dear to your heart?
Daryl: I've been part of an environmental organization called Green Crusaders since college. Back then I always did tree planting or clean-up activities. I still do it from time-to-time before the pandemic hits.
Why do you like Nail Applique?
Daryl: I love the colors and they are easy to apply! I also like that it's free from harmful chemicals.
What’s your favorite movie or series?
Daryl: I love I, Robot and World War Z.
Do you have a favorite band?
Daryl: I have several but my most favorite is BTS. I love the  messages they convey through their music.
What songs are your fave with them, why?
Daryl: This part might take up the whole page so I'll just choose these two:
Mikrokosmos - The song is a reference to a Greek philosophy of viewing humans as their own little world (microcosm). My favorite line is "We're shining brightly. In our own rooms, in our own stars."
UGH - It's a diss track to the group's haters but it's such a thought-provoking song as well. It acknowledges that anger is not necessarily a negative emotion as it can fuel revolutions and change. But if you're using anger just to be judgmental and hateful, then it's just an empty rage.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Daryl: Harry Potter. I read the first book when I was 11 so I was the same age as the characters. That's why it has a special place in my heart.
What’s your favorite thing to wear?
Daryl: Sneakers!
What is something you always travel with?
Daryl: Headphones and alcohol.
What helped you cope during the pandemic and quarantine?
Daryl: It's having a strong support group and accepting that this is one of the many things I have no control over . It's devastating to accept that the mundane things you do before feels like a privilege now but as cliche as it may sound, life goes on. It made me appreciate the things I get to experience.
